Each intercept costs just $2, significantly reducing operational expenses compared to traditional interceptor missiles costing $40,000–$50,000 each. Supported by $1.2 billion in U.S. funding, Iron Beam is undergoing rapid deployment.

Raytheon’s P-HEL Locust is a U.S.-designed solid-state laser system using AI for precision targeting. It engages drones and other aerial threats with unparalleled accuracy and efficiency. Costing $30–40 million per unit, the system integrates seamlessly into layered defense networks and is currently deployed to support the Army's mission" in an undisclosed location abroad.

China’s Shen Nung laser system, also known as "Silent Hunter", recently deployed by Iran, is designed for counter-drone operations and features a 10–20 kilowatt laser capable of both dazzling and destroying aerial threats. The system can detect drones up to 3.1 miles (5 kilometers) away using its integrated radar. It can launch non-destructive blinding attacks at a range of 2 miles (3 kilometers) and destroy targets within 1 mile (1.5 kilometers). Costing $5–10 million per unit, offering Iran enhanced defensive capabilities to counter modern aerial threats.
